St John’s Research Forum: Heritage & History

As Easter term starts, join us for two short talks in College exploring how place, landscape, and built environment shape our understanding of the past. Archaeologist Dr Colleen Batey will consider the Round Church of the Norse Earls of Orkney within its local and island context, while historian Dr Adrian Green will examine Durham Castle and the development of the baileys. There will be ample time for discussion. Refreshments provided – bring a coffee mug if you can!
