Our alumni community

From Durham to destinations around the world, Johnians remain part of a community that extends far beyond graduation. Through events, stories, mentoring, volunteering and philanthropy, alumni continue to shape the life of St John’s and support future generations of students.

It all started at John's

Celebrating the relationships and connections that continue long after graduation.

Some connections made at St John’s last a lifetime. From friendships and marriages to families spanning multiple generations of Johnians, these stories reflect the enduring relationships that grow out of College life. Explore memories, reflections and personal journeys from members of the Johnian community whose connection to St John’s continues long after graduation.

Every Johnian has a story. If you would like to share yours, our student-led John’s Chronicle team would be delighted to hear from you. We regularly feature alumni interviews, personal reflections and stories from across the Johnian community. Whether you would prefer to be interviewed or write something yourself, we would love to help tell your story.

Alumni reunions

Come back to College to reconnect with old friends, revisit familiar places and create new memories on the Bailey

Whether it has been five years or fifty, there is something special about returning to the Bailey. Alumni reunions are an opportunity to reconnect with old friends, revisit familiar places, and create new memories together in the College that helped shape so many lives.

During the summer vacation, reunion groups can stay in College, enjoy formal dinners, tours, access to College facilities and time to explore Durham together. We are also delighted to welcome alumni back throughout the year for informal visits, events and opportunities to see College life in full swing. However long you have been away, a warm welcome awaits.
