Nick Moore

Nick Moore

As Warden of Cranmer Hall, Nick has overall responsibility for the academic, formational, and pastoral life of the Hall. He leads Cranmer’s vision for theological education and ministerial formation, working closely with staff, students, and the wider College to support those preparing for a range of ministries both ordained and lay in a changing Church and world.

As a College Officer, Nick is part of the leadership of St John’s College, helping to shape its academic and spiritual life and its engagement with the Church locally, nationally, and internationally.

 Academic and professional background

Nick studied French and Philosophy before training for ordained ministry and completing doctoral research on the New Testament. He has held a range of ministerial, academic, and leadership roles within theological education and the Church of England, with particular interests in fostering engagement with the Bible and enabling formation for ministry.

His work reflects Cranmer Hall’s commitment to rigorous academic study, reflective practice, and the formation of thoughtful, resilient Christian leaders.
