Robert Jaggs-Fowler
Robert Jaggs-Fowler is a writer, poet, and retired GP with academic interests in medical humanities, theology, and literature. He served as Medical Director and Director of Primary Care for NHS North Lincolnshire and was ordained in the Church of England in 2019. He has served as an army officer, as a senior volunteer and trustee with St John Ambulance, and in parish ministry. He holds degrees in medicine, medical law and ethics, theology, and a PhD from Durham exploring the theology of Bonhoeffer and Schweitzer in relation to healthcare. A Fellow of the RCGP and RSA, he is the author of academic texts, poetry collections, and fiction. His current research focuses on the role of Christianity in the life and work of Anton Chekhov.
