A conversation with Dr Iain McGilchrist, author of The Master And His Emissary and The Matter With Things; Dr Charles Foster, and Dr Eve Poole
What sort of place is the cosmos? What sort of creatures are we? How then should we live? In an age of geopolitical, environmental and technological challenge, we need to ask deep questions to decide how best to proceed.
This discussion brings together three leading thinkers who have spent their lives exploring these foundational questions: Dr Iain McGilchrist, author of The Master And His Emissary and The Matter With Things; Dr Charles Foster, a writer, philosopher and Fellow of Exeter College, Oxford; and Dr Eve Poole, a theologian who writes on leadership, capitalism and AI.
The discussion will be facilitated by Professor Jolyon Mitchell, Principal of St John’s College and a specialist in Religion, Violence and Peacebuilding. There will be ample time for Q&A at the end.
